The Kansas Department on Aging (KDOA) has imposed an $8,500 civil monetary penalty on Galway Homes, LLC, 9825 Overbrook Rd., Leawood, Kansas.
The fine resulted from violations which significantly and adversely affected the health, safety, nutrition or sanitation of the adult care residents of the facility. The violations were identified in a survey conducted April 17-23, 2008.
The facility has the right to file an appeal.
